Here we go!

Updated: Jul 23

It’s been a long road to getting this knee right but here I am in the car heading to Windsor for my first Ultra Challenge Of the year! Compared to previous ones its only 40km! But it’s still a decent walk.

Am I nervous yep! But nothing except an injury will keep me from my goal!!

Why you may ask do I do this to my self when on a sunny bank holiday weekend I could just sit back in the garden chilling like normal people! Well good question 😀

I think the answer is for me I’m at my best when I’m pushing my limits and the sense of achievement when done surpasses all the pain and self doubt that had clouded my mind through out my challenge.

We all have that negative voice in our heads saying you’ll never do it why even try! And it’s sometimes that voice that keeps us back when we should be forging forward. I know for me in the past that has been the reason that I’ve not filled my potential and just stepped back when I should of stepped forward.

So here I am in the car going to Windsor with that voice saying you’ll never do it, your not good enough, your not ready!

But, I am ready and I am good enough and if I don’t complete the challenge then does it matter NO!

The getting up and being present is all that matters and that’s what we all need to remember

some times all all it takes is one step, one foot in front of the other to get us closer to that goal no matter how big or small.

So if your sat there reading this with that little niggle saying you can’t know that you CAN do anything you put your mind to, to start your body may be a bit slow but keep plugging away at it one foot in front of the other and you’ll get there.

That‘s what I’ll be doing!

Until next time
