Best Boots Ever!

In 2015 I was introduced to Gri-Sport foot wear. I am always a bit sceptical of new boots or shoes as I have odd feet! Well in the fact that I'm quite flat footed and I have a wide foot too!

But I liked that their boots are not only leather but also are light weight, which for me is a big deal.

Now from the first moment of buying these boots for the first time I fell in love with them, because not only are they comfortable but they last too!

Now I walk a lot and I tend to opt for my boots before anything else because I have a weak ankle boots are always the safer option and this was defiantly the case when I was on a hike last week!

You see, on a small hike day I usually opt for my trainers as I tend not to do anything to difficult, but this day I put on my new Gai-Sport Hurricane Boots on and set off on my mini adventure.

They are great as they are waterproof so great in muddy conditions, I opted to go up the steeper part of the Wrekin a 1330 ft hill here in Shropshire UK. All was going really well until I realised I'd over shot the usual path by about 200 mtrs and was 3/4 way up before I noticed!

All was ok until the last quarter to the top when the terrain got really muddy and slippery. If I had my trainers on I would not of found a good foothold, but my boots where great with a good grip on the soles and with extra room in the boot it gave my feet room to move helping to keep me stable.

Once I got to the top of the hill I thought my troubles where over how wrong I was!

To get down I had to take a path that lead back down in to the woods which started out alright but the further down I went the worse it seemed to be! Now again my boots came in to play with the gradient of the hill being at least 60% the support in the ankles was paramount to keeping me stable on my feet! The tread on the soles helped lessen the amount of slipping I was doing which was vital because the path had got nasty. Now I'm not the type of person to have a panic but this path was getting more and more gnarly with slick mud covered in leaves and even though I was in the tree line there was not much to hold on to!!

At one point I ended up wading through a boggy mess covering my boots which managed to keep my feet dry.

The great thing about these boots is you can wear them in the wet or in extreme heat as I live half my life in Egypt I do a lot of desert waking and these boots come in to their own in this environment as well, with the extra space in the boot when your feet swell due to extreme heat you are not effected by it and because of the upper leather the boot is also breathable so your feet don't sweat!

These boots are amazing I where them everywhere! I even ride my horses in them!!! This is why I have owned 5 pairs since 2015! They not only look good feel good but last ages and trust me I don't go easy on them!!
