Chaffing can happen to the best of us and it's not always due to no thigh gap either! If you sweat and your out all day say hiking, I can guarantee that you will get some kind of chafing going on whether it be in your thighs on your arms or under your boobs (yes gentlemen you can get it there too!!)
It has always been a constant issue in my life especially when out and about here in Egypt.
I have had to teach myself to be mindful when I go out and have come up with a checklist for before and after a hike.
Make sure your fresh as a daisy before going out! if your already a bit sticky your just going to be adding to the issue!
Make sure your undies fit well if I'm off out for a good hike I make sure I'm wearing them for comfort not for looks! No lace is best and if you can wear your knackers without elastic in all the better.
prep your skin before going out a thin layer of vaseline on the parts pron to rubbing is best.
Make sure your clothes fit properly too tight or too loose will only cause you problems.
Take a spare pair of socks or undies with you if your going out for hours freshening up halfway round is always a good idea
These are just some of the preventative measures I take before going out, but even with all this, I can still get sore so what to do if that happens.
It's going to hurt but go for a nice shower using nonperfumed soap or shower gel to get all that sweat off.

When dry if it is really bad use Sudo cream to start it'll help take the sting out and put a protective layer on your skin.
One of my 100% go too's now is clover water! What is that I hear you cry well I'll tell you!
In an old clean jar add a handful of cloves fill the jar with water and leave overnight the next day the water will of gone brown, I leave my cloves in so the water gets stronger.
When the water is ready I take some cotton wool wet it with my clove water and then wipe my skin over the areas that are sore.

This I do before bed by morning I find the swelling has gone down and it's not so sore I will continue using the mixture until the chafing rash has gone.
Sounds weird I know but it works brilliantly and takes half the time to heal.
I always have a jar of clove water by my bed just in case and I tell you, you smell good after too!!
Let me know if you try any of these technics I'd love to know how you get on
Until next time
Happy Hiking
