Red Sea Adventures For All Part 2!

Updated: Sep 17, 2021

I've always loved the sea so going out on a boat has always been quite appealing. The problem is the first time I went out I decided to go with an organised tour where there was about 30 people on board.

It seemed ok at first when your all safe on board the boat but when we all got in the water to go snorkeling it ended up not being so much fun!!

So this time I decided that I wanted a completely different Red Sea experience so chartered a speed boat for myself and daughter and with our boat captain and guide we set sail for the dolphin house.

I have a mini obsession with dolphins and whales so to see dolphins in their natural habitat was just to much for me to refuse!

I am a speed junkie and love fast cars , fast horses and now fast boats!! speeding cross the sea was one of the most exhilarating things I've done in years :-) with the sound of the water against the boat and the wind in your hair it gave a sense of freedom of breaking away from the daily grind.

Once in the dolphin house we had the opportunity to stop and snorkel near one of the reefs our guide lead the way showing us some amazing places and pointing out beautiful corral and fish that we may have missed if left alone. The places we swam where magical with clear blue waters teeming with brightly colored fish of all shapes and sizes.

Once back aboard our boat we set off in search of the dolphins zig zagging across the waves trying to find the allusive creatures. Unfortunately for us that day they didn't want to come out play :-(

That's the thing with wild life they have a mind of their own and although a little disappointed we understood that some things you just can not control and dolphins are one of them!!

Our guide seemed as disappointed as we were but even though there is a 95% chance of seeing them sometimes you are just unlucky.

Now at this point most companies would take you back to shore and the day is over not these guys!

They took us for more snorkeling and a island rest stop where we could chill out for a while before even more snorkeling!!

I have to say I don't think I have ever swam as much as I did on this trip! but it was worth every second :-)

The highlight for me was the ship wreck

The sunken wreck is only a few years old but already coral and sea creatures have started to inhabit it amazingly surreal and a little spooky!!

After a day on the sea no i didn't see the dolphins but I will be going back again to try again!!

In fact I loved this trip so much we are talking with the company who runs this exceptional trip so we can add it to our list of new adventures for 2019!!

So watch this space because it will be coming VERY soon!

The last installment of my Red Sea adventures comes tomorrow when we take to the desert by quad bike!!

Now I drive but I have never been on a quad so could be interesting

Until then i'm off to dream of sea horses and dolphins!!

Happy Adventures!
